Preventative Maintenance Technician
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work history
- Must have clean driving record
- Must be able to pass criminal background check, convictions will be considered on a case by case basis
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have legible handwriting, good communication skills, and basic computer knowledge
- Must have the minimum required tools
- Must be able to pass random drug screening
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The preventative maintenance technicians will report directly to the Preventative Maintenance Coordinator.
- Technician is required to drive to customers locations and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on customers equipment.
- Technician may be required at times to remain at the shop to perform p.m.’s.
- The following list of duties is a suggested guideline to follow it is not an exact chart to be followed due to ever changing conditions of the job sites.
- Technician will pick up parts needed when needed.
- Technician will double check all parts to each work order before leaving to go to customers location.
- Technician will then drive to the customers location and check in with management or designated person in charge of the equipment.
- After checking in with customer locate unit or units to be serviced once unit is located verify the model and serial number on the unit with the work order.
- Check the hour meter and record reading on the pm ticket.
- Technician will initial, date, and write hour meter reading on all filters that are serviced.
- Technician will check each unit for the Lift Truck Supply sticker if not one on the unit install one, also remove all competitors’ stickers.
- Technician will fully follow the pm ticket and perform the pm.
- Technician will check off all items that are serviced on the pm ticket.
- Technician will then make any notes of issues that need to be addressed in the additional work recommended screen on his/her tablet.
- All pm invoices will be entered into Work Complete when they are completed.
- Before leaving the customers location the technician will ensure that the work area is as clean or cleaner than their arrival. If additional repairs are noted, then contact information should be listed in order to send a quote to the customer.
- Technician needs to check back with the management or designated employee to have all work orders signed before leaving.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Preventative Maintenance Technicians work in both indoor and outdoor locations, they are subject to extreme cold/heat. They are required to work in rain, sleet, snow. The technician must be able to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance. May be exposed to high volume levels of noise and or fumes. Will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Preventative Maintenance Technicians are subject to call outs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Call outs may contain short notice.

Loss, damage, or destruction of such assigned vehicle’s and or equipment is subject to discipline up to termination.
