Speed-Watch Forklift Overspeed Alert System

Description

The Speed-Watch Forklift Overspeed Alert System is specifically designed to warn the operator, supervisors, or surrounding pedestrians of the maximum allowed approaching speed of the forklift.  Three distinct speed warning levels can be programmed into the Speed-Watch System, alerting the operator or nearby pedestrians as the speed of the vehicle increases.  These warnings include a red LED strobe light for a visual effect, a voice-emitting speaker for an audible effect, or a combination of both alerts.

The control box display always shows the traveling speed of the forklift.  A battery-powered speed sensor is paired with the system and quickly installs using a plastic mounting bracket that is adhered using double-sided tape within the wheel of the forklift.  The included paired remote is used to easily program the system with the desired forklift speed warning levels and various voice-emitted actions.

Forklift speed levels are accurately calculated by the system using the diameter measurement of the forklift wheel and detecting the number of wheel rotations over a given time.  The operating voltage of the control box with display and strobe light is 12 – 48V, and both are easily mounted using the included cable ties and optional 100 lb test magnet.
